As we look forward to 2019 but we haven’t quite gotten there yet, there’s just enough time to look back and ask: What did I accomplish this year for my smile health and what should I improve upon next year? When you take full stock of how you fared throughout 2018, you can feel much more confident and excited about making little changes for the future because you realize that of course, you also put in some hard work! While everyone’s personal review of their year will be unique, our Columbia, TN team offers some ideas you may not have thought of yet that will help you begin!
Good Work: If You Checked Off The Major Tasks
Take a look at the year that is almost through and ask yourself if you checked off all of the major smile care tasks that you know are required of you in order to maintain your smile health. If you can say with pride that you brushed two times a day, you flossed as well, and you even remembered to schedule (and show up for) your twice-a-year preventive visits, then you’ve done some good work! Continue this approach into the new year.
Needs Work: If You Missed A Task Or Two
Well, maybe you sort of checked off most of the boxes throughout 2018 but you know you could improve. You may have brushed twice every day but only flossed occasionally. Maybe you were right on track with your dental hygiene at home every single day but you didn’t make it to both of your preventive visits. No problem! Just plan to do better in 2019 for excellent smile health.
Good Work: If You Made Improvements You Wanted
What types of improvements did you need or want for your smile in 2018? Did you come in for the esthetic changes you wanted for a prettier smile? Did you focus on essential smile care and see us to replace teeth, old work, or to fix problems? If so, you get an A+!
Needs Work: If You Hesitated Regarding Improvements
We know that following through on cosmetic care and replacement teeth takes time, energy, planning, and money, and there may be some very good reasons you did not follow through with every last smile health need or want. Good news: 2019 gives you time to make those changes!
