Through the end of the year, the James K. Polk Home And Museum will hold an ongoing celebration for the 200th anniversary of the home’s building. West To Prosperity: The Polk Home At 200 is an exhibit that centers around how Polk, and other settlers, turned the Tennessee wilderness into their home. A number of artifacts from the period will be available for visitors to check out, including a Conestoga wagon.
